SEO On-Page Review
This past Tuesday evening I had the pleasure of participating in a panel discussion on search engine optimization at the Dallas SEO Meetup group. Sure, the drive to and from the Dallas Infomart was tiring, but the meeting itself was fun and educational.
Sharing the panel with me was John Nosal and Derick Schaefer, both SEO professionals that have lots of experience in social media and technology in general. The panelists got along well (or at least I thought so!) and were responsive to questions from the audience. We started out with a handful of general questions provided by meeting organizer Matt Rogers, covering topics like “search highlights of 2009″ and “the role of social media in search”. These also spawned followup questions from the audience, with all panelists contributing their views.
The Q/A session was followed by a live site review of an attendee’s website www.Birdzilla.com This worked out very nicely for all concerned, as it gave the website owner access to some expensive consulting for free and let the balance of the 50 attendees see how the process works, with ideas they could potentially use on their own sites.
I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and look forward to doing more of the same in the future.
