Favorable Search Engine Optimization Results for The Smartacus Corporation

Fort Worth, Texas (March 28, 2006) – Many search engine optimization companies claim that their expertise can get your website superior positioning on Google, Yahoo, etc. So how do you figure out which claims are for real? According to Smartacus president Brian Shannon, "The proof is in the results."

The Smartacus Corporation, a Fort Worth based web development company, announced the results of a six-month experiment in SEO (search engine optimization). "We've always had good success with our SEO techniques, but with all the industry noise it was difficult to communicate this to our customers. Back in September 2005, then, we decided to re-launch our flagship website www.College-Cram.com without any marketing push whatsoever. We made a tactical decision to rely solely on our ability to optimize our own site for search engines - basically, to put our money where our mouth was."

The College-Cram.com website was given an SEO-oriented facelift to better appeal to its target audience, college students looking for online tutorials for freshman- and sophomore-level courses. Additional tutorials and new libraries were added to the mix, and students were given free access to over 100 of the most popular tutorials via free registration.

The results of the experiment are impressive. In less than six months, average monthly traffic increased by 70% and student subscriptions are up 175%, with corresponding revenue increases. Over that time the website has spread to over 1000 college campuses across the US and 30 other countries, all due to superior SEO and favorable search engine results.

"We decided to add a library page for mythology," said Smartacus VP Rudy Lopes. "Within a week, not only did Google know about the new page but they had us listed #4 out of 15 million pages in a search for 'study mythology' - those are amazing results!"

"We included some examples of our SEO results on our corporate website," continued Mr. Shannon, "to let people see for themselves what real SEO results look like." Mr. Lopes echoed his agreement, wondering why more web development companies don't do this sort of thing. "How else can you react when you get a spam email from an SEO company? I mean, if they can't even market themselves without spamming, how can they possibly help you?"

"The proof is in the results," Mr. Shannon asserted again. "That's all anybody needs to know about search engine optimization."

The Smartacus Corporation (a client of Tech Fort Worth business incubator) is a team of web development experts, web designers who are also business professionals. They deliver custom solutions that fit a company's marketing plan, not cookie-cutter templates made for somebody else.
